when we listen to our inner wisdom our true self is revealed and we begin to shape a better life and a better world.
I want you to feel powerful
For many of us it feels like we live in a time of constant crisis and change. Chronic stress, trauma, and disconnection from community can leave us feeling numb, overwhelmed, and alone. Without the right internal and external supports it’s easy to feel stuck in cycles of survival and hopelessness.
My practice blends a variety of modalities, but most importantly, how I guide and support others reflects the knowledge I’ve gained through personal inquiry and lived experience. Teaching from an embodied sense of knowing is central to my work—and I aim to guide you toward deepening your relationship with your own inner wisdom. Without a deep connection to our somatic intelligence we spend time and money whirling around seeking insights and advice from everyone around us or the next training or the next IG guru. Wouldn’t it be nice to have access to wisdom within?
My workshops and programs provide educational and experiential tools that help people 1:1 or within organizations to move out of survival mode, replace fear and uncertainty with self-trust and inner knowing and to ultimately engage in meaningful and Earth positive lives.
SOMATICS: connecting to Your INNER WISDOM & innate belonging
We all have ancestors that oriented to the world and life through a somatic paradigm. They all had simple ways of noticing their connection to the land, their bodies, and their inner navigating system. Today, many of us are disconnected from that kind of awareness. We’re taught to live in our heads, push through discomfort, and keep moving. Relearning how to listen to the body isn’t about adding something extra to your to-do list. It’s about coming back to a natural way of being that includes head, heart and gut. This kind of reconnection helps you make clearer decisions, manage stress, and show up more fully in your life.
When your natural somatic intelligence is restored, you begin to trust yourself again. You move through life with greater freedom, guided by your truest, most authentic self.
CONNECTION and interdependent sovereignty*
Chronic stress, overwhelm, and trauma—including the growing threats of climate change and global instability—often take root in disconnection. They thrive when we lose touch with our bodies and our inner wisdom.
When this connection is severed, so is our innate sense of safety and belonging. Safety isn't just about physical security; it's a felt sense of inner stability—a felt and sensed trust in our ability to meet life’s challenges and to make meaningful connections and systems of care and support.
When you come back into relationship with your body, your inner knowing, and your deep, cellular bond with the natural world you begin to experience yourself - and the world around you - differently and you awaken a deep- in-your-bones capacity for clear-seeing and heart-centred living. (* a term I first heard from Shauna Janz)
About Jenn
I work 1:1 with individuals and large organizations addressing chronic and acute stress and survival patterns that hold us back from our truest expression of ourselves and living as whole interdependent and sovereign beings.
I am an expert in communications, and experiential existential psychology with certifications in Somatic Experiencing®, and Gendlin’s Focusing process.
These are urgent times. The knowledge that our embodied individual change can carry over into collective systems change lights me up personally and professionally. Author and activist adrienne maree brown underscores this when she says “what we practice at the small scale sets patterns for the whole system.”
I am a clinical psychotherapist specializing in existential phenomoenology with advanced training in climate-inclusive therapy for individuals and groups. I bridge clinical practice, education, and activism in the service of a regenerative human presence on this planet. I facilitate climate support groups and present on topics related to climate change and psychological well-being both locally and online. I am also an active member of the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America.
I lead resilience workshops and programs for people and organizations working on and experiencing the impacts of climate change and help communities integrate direct experiences following wildfires, floods, and other catastrophes.
More than ever we need to expand our capacity for difficult emotions while connecting to our aliveness, including joy and pleasure.
All of my offerings are rooted in decolonizing and anti-oppressive ethics.
how I work
My intuitive and awareness-based style allows me to tune into what’s unfolding in others’ experiences. I support clients in exploring conditioning and patterns rooted in trauma—including shock, developmental, and intergenerational dynamics—and guide them toward their innate sense of self and wholeness.
I weave spirituality and science into my work, drawing on training in modalities such as Focusing® (the work of Eugene Gendlin), Somatic Experiencing® (Peter Levine), Somatic Practice (Kathy Kain), and the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model® (Jan Winhall). I also integrate movement and dance, foundational knowledge of myth and archetypes (Jungian), and lessons from my spiritual practice, ritual, and deep soul work.
CLIENT WORDS
